New Data on Minnesota’s Invisible Health RiskThe Minnesota Department of Health’s Indoor Air and MN Tracking programs have partnered to provide new and more accurate radon data on our radon portal. This newly created portal includes an interactive state radon map and radon charts. Radon data is available at the county level. As you know, many homes in Minnesota have radon levels that pose a major health risk. In fact, the data shows that 78% of the counties in Minnesota have average radon levels at 4 pCi/L or above. So, we have created higher visibility on our websites for the public to order test kits.
We’d like to work together with you to spread the word. We have created resources for you to use to share with your constituents, partners or customers. These resources include an article you can use in an email or newsletter, an infographic and suggested Facebook or Twitter posts.
We hope you use these resources to help create awareness about this important public health issue.
